Wobilimoda Furniture AVM, operating in İnegöl, Bursa, organized a special event for Cyprus veterans. As part of the event, the veterans will be sent to Cyprus with the sponsorship of Wobilimoda Furniture AVM.
With the sponsorship of Wobilimoda Furniture AVM, the İnegöl Cyprus Veterans Association will travel to Cyprus. Speaking at the event held at the mall prior to the trip, AVM General Manager Ali Ünal expressed their happiness at reuniting 25 Cyprus veterans with Cyprus tomorrow and noted that this meaningful initiative was carried out under the leadership of İnegöl District Governor Eren Arslan.
Opening the event, President of the İnegöl Combat Veterans Association Selami Seğmen said, “Today we see what is happening in Gaza. There is a massacre every day. Fifty years ago, the same events took place in Cyprus. There were very fierce clashes. Our army resolved it in as little as one month. We are proud and honored. We left a very bright future for our children. We are proud that our District Governor and businesspeople stood by us and enabled us to go to the lands we could not visit for 50 years. I thank them all.”
“WE OWE A GREAT DEAL TO OUR MARTYRS AND VETERANS”
Speaking at the event, İnegöl District Governor Eren Arslan said, “No matter how much we stand by our veterans and martyrs or meet their needs, we cannot repay our debt to them. If we walk with pride, we owe it to our martyrs and veterans who sacrificed their lives. Just as we repelled the enemy invasion 50 years ago, we now live with the pride of being an honorable nation. During our visit to the veterans, we learned of their wish to see Cyprus once again. We shared this with our colleagues, and they said they would contribute to repay this debt of gratitude. Our veterans will go there and refresh their memories. I wish them a healthy journey. We owe so much to our martyrs and veterans. As a nation, we are always ready to stand by them and to treat their requests as commands. I thank everyone who contributed.”
“WE WILL SEE OFF 25 OF OUR VETERANS TO CYPRUS”
Wobilimoda Furniture AVM General Manager Ali Ünal began his remarks by talking about the shopping center. Stating that Wobilimoda AVM, which houses 124 manufacturers, serves both wholesale and retail customers, Ünal said: “In the Cyprus Peace Operation, which we celebrate the 48th anniversary of this year, we had 498 martyrs and hundreds of veterans. First of all, I pray for our martyrs’ souls, and I wish our veterans long and healthy lives for giving us this pride. Under the leadership of our District Governor, this opportunity was presented to us. As the AVM, we wanted to take part in this meaningful, conscientious event. Thankfully, we organized it today, and tomorrow we will see off 25 of our veterans to Cyprus. We extend our respect and gratitude to all our veterans, especially our Great Leader Atatürk.”
